“A Shelter for the Shelter less Women”
“Swadhar” project was sanctioned to Human Welfare society in April 2006. This project was sponsored by the Ministry of Women & Child Development Govt. of India. This is one of the main concerns of the society to provide social security to the women by way of establishing shelter homes. Society has been running Swadhar shelter home. This is a shelter home for the protection and rehabilitation of those women and girls who are facing the family problems, mental strains, social ostracism and exploitation and who need shelter. “Swadhar” is shelter home to all those women who become victim of some or the other circumstances for those women who are not accepted by either by their family, relatives or the society “Swadhar” extends its support and provides shelter. It is provided with the facilities of lodging & boarding also provides them recreational facilities, education, Vocational training, total medical care, counseling, and finally rehabilitate them to the main stream of the society.
The objective of “Swadhar shelter home” is to provide all types of support and guidance to the women. Women belongs to any state, city or village of India can get support from here the women surrounded by problems who is widow, divorcee, who is harassed by their husband who is left homeless. Due to natural calamities obstacles by their husband or deprived of financial social support or helpless girl can get shelter here.We also provide those recreational facilities, Vocational training, total health care and finally rehabilitate them to the main stream of the society. “Swadhar”- Team make its best possible efforts to send back the women to their families. This is more than a shelter home for the inmates as we provide them utmost care & morel support. It’s actually another home for them.
In “Swadhar Shelter home” efforts have been made to improve the living standard of helpless women, in which taking in to consideration of women interest. Various types of trainings such as Computer, stitching, Weaving, Knitting, Bandej, Jardosi, English / Hindi typing, pickles, Papad & Badi making etc. are providing to them. If women want to study then she will be provided school collage education and making all possible efforts for improving the living standard, personality development for mental and spiritual development of women through which women get trained for getting self-employment or can do job to become self-dependent.
The small children with shelter less women is also provided shelter with this we provide education to the childrenHere for entertainment of children such as Carrom, Ludo, Snake & ladders, Chess, Badminton, Cycling, toys etc. facilities are available, and for women T.V., Computer, typing & stitching, weaving, cooking courses, computer courses, mehndi, general knowledge, English language knowledge and the books which is helpful in development of personality facilities are available, through this medium not only there is entertainment but also mental level will be develop.
